I saw a hilarious video back in the 90s about squirrels and bird feeders and an obstacle course of some kind.
We think squirrels are only mildly hilarious here. I think that was Pearl trying to get into the squirrel-proof feeder. Definitely squirrel proof.
Googled: It might be a series called Daylight Robbery.
Heard of that, I think. The feeder cage, though, has a base which screws into the bottom of the feeder, so it’s hopeless.
Oh, what a lovely fellow! And how I would enjoy chasing him around the yard! His russet tones make him truly striking. The pesky squirrels around here are steel grey–completely bland in comparison. Leaves me to wonder if they are worth my efforts…
Yes, the guy I live with says that picture was taken with the DSLR so you can embiggen it and see the squirrel, which I think was Pearl, so a girl squirrel, in all her squirrely detail.
I hope you are out enjoying the snow we got overnight, Chess. Nice to get some moisture around here.
I am. Though the guy I live with almost had to push me off my soft Pottery Barn sheets this morning.
Oh, please tell me the squirrels aren’t taking over the blog! They’ll just make a terrible mess of it. I’ve seen the Daylight Robbery movie — highly entertaining, as only someone else’s squirrel problems can be.
Hope all is well there west of Denver. November is always the most miserable month for me: “November has tied me to an old dead tree/Send word to April to set me free” — Tom Waits.
Snowing. The guy I live with is having twinges of the holidays. My mommy loved Christmas and trees and decorations and stuff. Shopping, too. They would go shopping together a lot.
November is okay since there isn’t much work to do in the garden. And all the naps we forgot to take earlier in the year can be taken now, without guilt. Not that we felt that way anyway.
