Oh Mani! You are brave and ferocious. Keep up the good work. My little friend Sadie- she is just a twelve week old English Setter, came to visit last night and ran her cute little nose right into the glass door trying to get outside. There’s lots to learn when you’re just a young dog isn’t there?
Thanks; I try to be both brave and ferocious. Right now there are three rabbits on my driveway, and I can’t do anything about it. The sliding glass door here is so scratched, from the first border collie who lived here, trying to get inside when it thundered, that on the rare occasions when the glass door is shut, I can see it quite easily.
Ha ha ha. I know there was talk of getting another puppy. Is that where you keep him?
Very funny. I’m not sure why the oven dog looks just like me, though.
Have you met the pup who lives in the mirror yet?
I have; looks very much like me, but not quite as cute.
Most excellent. You look like a left pawed herder.
Left pawed when it comes to attacking the oven, anyway.
Oh, great indoor fun, Mani. Too bad the Puppy in the Oven wouldn’t play and chase back.
That’s why we take our dogs on visits to the Cays dog park — all the dogs are out of the oven there and eager for fun.
I do get to go for walks, and also to Day Care, and those are both fun. The Day Care is for me, and not because the guy I live with thinks I’m a pain. But the oven is a mystery. The guy I live with says we’re going to watch a movie called “Duck Soup” sometime soon, and that will explain everything.
I should have taken a video of my two cats pacing about as I played this video! Raises the question of whether illusions are any less real than “reality”.
My two dogs certainly barked back at the video. I played it again and again.
So did someone else. “Who’s that barking, who sounds just like me?”
From at least one standpoint, all perceptions are the same to the mind. Hearing a dog bark in “real life” is the same perception as hearing a dog bark on a computer. Being able to sort out what’s “real” and what isn’t makes all the difference.
mani, you made my day!! adorable!
Thanks; the oven dog is still there. Except when it’s the laundry room window dog, or the sliding glass door dog. Life around here is really strange. Day Care, which is where I was today, is way more normal.
Hah!!! Hilarious. What will you do when your guy brings home a puppy friend for you some day?
Thanks; I am hilarious. The guy I live with is “currently uncertain” about getting me a friend.
