Greetings and salutations, everyone; yes, once again it is I, your popular host, Mani the purebred border collie, here today with just some pictures, and maybe a little talking. You may remember me from such posts as “My Walk At Dusk”, among so many, many others.
Here I am in a characteristic pose.
You can see how red everything looks here in the “way back” (you can also see the effect of hacking out some of the lilacs; it’s no longer so private back here).
I was looking at the sunset, which is why things were so red.
There are still crocuses in flower.
Okay, so, now, I’m going to show a bunch of pictures (not all completely in focus), mostly of leaves, but also some whole plants. Just to show that the whole garden isn’t all brown and dry.
First, a couple of sempervivums.
Hypericum kazdaghensis.
Salvia cyanescens seedlings.
Cyclamen coum.
Yucca rupicola.
This used to be sold as Ballota ‘All Hallows Green’, but I guess it’s really a form of Marrubium bourgaei. We grow a lot of horehounds, including the one they make candy from, but I don’t have pictures of that.
Marrubium globosum.
Marrubium rotundifolium.
Marrubium cylleneum.
Orostachys spinosa.
Lithodora oleifolia.
Salvia chrysophylla, seedling.
Maihuenia poeppigii, a cactus from Chile.
Globularia stygia.
A nice hybrid thyme that the guy I live with got at the botanic gardens’ plant sale some time ago. It turns purplish in winter.
Well, that’s it for today. I hope you enjoyed these pictures.
I’ll leave you with a picture of me napping in the eighty-five-year-old rattan chair that all the purebred border collies who’ve lived here have enjoyed sleeping in.

Until next time, then.
