Greetings and salutations, everyone; yes, once again it is I, your popular host, Mani the purebred border collie, here this morning to talk about what happened last night. You may remember me from such posts as “Licorice Lips”, among so many, many others.
Here I am in a characteristic pose.
Rather wistful-looking, don’t you think?
This is what I saw on my walk this morning.
The guy I live with said not to go in, because the water might be icky. Water from streets and from all sorts of places that aren’t the mountains, where the water is usually clean.
You may be wondering why there’s all this water in the creek, which is usually dry. Well, there was a ten percent chance of thunderstorms last night, which we didn’t think would come over us, because they were coming from the north, which is a peculiar direction for storms to come from, except in winter. I guess sometimes the monsoon rains from Mexico sort of go farther north and then circle around the mountains near the Colorado-Wyoming border, or something like that.
About 10:30 last night it started to rain. A lot.
(We’re not sure why the camera goes out of focus about halfway through.)
The guy I live with said it was like movies set in the tropics. We got about an inch (2.5cm) of rain, or more.
So that’s it for now.
I’ll leave you with a picture of me showing off my excellent pants, which get brushed all the time, if you wanted to know.

Until next time, then.
