white out

Greetings and salutations, everyone; yes, once again it is I, your popular host, Mani the purebred border collie, here today to bring you up to date on our weather. You may remember me from such posts as “The Endless Winter”, among so many, many others.

Here I am in a characteristic pose.I’m in my upstairs fort because I’m scared. Things are pretty scary right now.

This is what our back yard looks like. The wind is blowing so hard that when we tried to go on a walk this morning, I just wanted to turn around and go home.
It’s supposed to be like this all day, and tonight, and then stop snowing, then snow again on Tuesday and Wednesday. The guy I live with says it might warm up in July.

Until next time, then.

Thanks. It’s pretty awful. The snow might stop tomorrow morning. This has happened before, in March.
Other people around here actually like this, so the guy I live with wasn’t even going to say anything, but it is affecting me, too.

Thanks; things are a little better now, but it’s still windy and snowing like crazy.
At least it’s not very cold out.

“Other people around here actually like this” And also dogs. Must be genetic. All but one of our dogs have stormwalked. Zack was particulary fond of blizzardy snow and freezing rain pellets..

I like snow, but not when it’s so windy I can’t see. And when the wind is howling.

    Cripes!

Oh my gosh!! Is it heavy wet snow? I watched a live feed from Denver for a bit yesterday but there is only so much time a person can spend watching snowflakes. Unless that person is stuck inside in, say, the Denver area. At least you don’t have the kind of “freewheeling” power companies like they do in Texas. Did TGYLW place little plastic caps over each of the miniature iris blooms?

OH MY! That sure is white out!

  5. Lisa says:

Oh, no! I’m sorry it’s snowing so much, and that you’ve taken to your fort for the duration. I am glad you have the fort though. It’s sure pretty. Although the one winter I lived in the snow of Northern CA (near Lassen) it stopped being pretty.
(I hope for your sake you know how to use the puddle pad or newspaper!)

It stopped snowing, and I was able to go out around midnight. The guy I live with went out with me, but I leaped through the snow, to go out to my Private Lawn.
And now today, it’s sunny, and I got to go on a walk, mostly in the street.
Water is rushing down the gutters in the street.

Wow! Well it looks pretty! We are getting some much needed rain! I hope you get to enjoy the outdoors again soon!

  7. Christine A Furey says:

    Stay safe and warm, companions!

We’re pretty warm; thanks. The guy I live with did some shoveling, but he has to be careful, because, you know, he’s kind of ancient..

Sorry the wind was worrying you, and I hope your power stays on!
