Dan Johnson’s garden, part one

These pictures were taken in 2007, I think. I’ll let Cindy’s pictures of this amazing garden speak for themselves. Dan is associate director of horticulture and curator of native plants at DBG (it says so on his email). And yes, this garden is in Denver.

  1. Cindy did justice to Dan–no small feat! Love to see genius reflected by its match! You glitter as well, my multifaceted gem of a buddy.

I’m left wishing summer was sooner (beautiful).

Yeah. I think I could live in the tropics. Summer every day.
I took my sister and my neighbor over to see Dan’s garden a couple of years ago and they just stood on the sidewalk, stunned, even after I told them what to expect.

  3. Pam says:

It certainly has a lot of different plants, but – dare I be the first to say it – the space seems too busy and crowded to me. I do like the ivy growing over the stone demon, though. –Anyway, nice pictures!

  4. Stunning garden. I like the soft colours of the house, too.
